Slow support response time, but solved! I thought scammers/hackers, I'm just slow like their response time :P Here's my experience with them:
I signed up for the Linux KVM-SSD 2 GB plan and wanted to test out buying with BTC. Once the payment was completed, all was well and I began setting up my new VPS. After some time, I ran into some issues and decided that I had to do a OS Reinstall. I set the OS reinstall in motion and went to sleep. When I attempted to login today, my credentials wouldn't work. I used the 'Forgot Password' link, and no email is being sent to my email address.
They don't have a support phone number, so I created a support ticket with additional ways for them to contact me since I am traveling at the moment. I was able to add a few replies on it with more information as I gathered it, but then out of no where, my IP address is being blocked from accessing the ticket and I still haven't gotten any replies or phone calls.
Some interesting things to note as well:
- When I did have access and was logging in through SSH, there were always hundreds of failed login attempts in between (brute-force attacks from everywhere)
- After all of this, I did a quick scan to see if the server was in use, and it is, with what appear to be mail spamming ports open.
In absolute frustration at the loss of money and lack of communication, I came here looking to see if anyone else had a bad experience only to discover that they blame people for spamming when they make a complaint? I hadn't gotten to set my server up to do anything, and it seemed that it had already been hijacked for use with spamming, and the company didn't want to respond!
I began starting to think this company was stealing from people who pay with Bitcoin to stay anonymous because people who want to stay anonymous often won't make a scene, AND companies can make them out to look like Cyber Criminals (as you will see from the replies sometimes).
UPDATE:
Support got to my ticket and resolved the issue which was the result of a .coms INSTEAD of a .com on the email address I used to sign up, and since it logs you in right away when you first signup, I was logging in for the first time and had 'fat-fingered it' the night before.
Support figured it out for me and changed it back so I could recover access and the CEO was responsive in responding to my communication as well.
I haven't had a chance to gauge the performance yet so I will update this review in the future to come. But so far, I think this company is legit but has to increase their support response time.
A suggestion (for Support teams everywhere), would be to have the team go through every new ticket as soon as possible to address it with something like:
"Hi ___, I'm ____ and I'm gonna be working on your issue. I'll be in touch with you shortly when I figure out what is going on with..."
I look forward to working with this company and updating the review surrounding Reliability.
