Today we are speaking with Mr. Valentin Dumitru from Soft-Expert, and we are going to learn more about his products and services, and more about the hosting industry in general.

Can you tell us a bit more about the history of Soft-Expert? When did you start the company?
Valentin: Soft Expert was founded in 2003. Since then, we have been developing, selling, and implementing an ERP, Financial Manager. In 2013 we opened our own Data Center where we hosted the ERP developed by us for our own customers. In 2017 we opened another Data Center where we provide the full range of hosting services, from hosting websites and mail servers to VDS and dedicated servers.
What are the main products and services that you are offering?
Valentin: Now we offer SaaS services for ERP Financial Manager, CRM Financial Manager, and other software solutions, we offer the entire range of hosting services.
We noticed that you are working on the Romanian market. What are the other markets that you are operating at the moment?
Valentin: For the SaaS services part, we are limited to the Romanian market because the ERP Financial Manager is specific to the Romanian legislation, but the hosting services are offered globally. We have customers from Australia, Asia, Africa, North America and obviously Europe.
What other markets would you find interesting for future expansion?
Valentin: We do not intend to expand SaaS services globally, but the hosting services are already offered worldwide. Now we are trying to offer RPA services, initially only in Romania, then we will expand globally.
What is your opinion of the hosting industry in terms of technology? What will be the next thing that all websites would need to have?
Valentin: This is difficult to say, but whoever has the answer to this question will probably get very rich.
What is your approach to customers who are not familiar with the hosting terms, or hosting in particular?
Valentin: On the hosting side we offer especially VDS and dedicated servers, which means that we work with clients who already have sufficient technical knowledge regarding hosting.
What are your plans for the next 12 months? Where do you see Soft-Expert?
Valentin: We will maintain the current line of SaaS and hosting services and we will try to develop the RPA service line.
What about in the long run? Where do you see Soft-Expert in the next 10 years?
Valentin: The RPA service area will develop exponentially in the coming years. RPA solutions will require integration with AI and ML solutions which in turn will require significant computing and storage power. We will try to expand in this area and offer RPA solutions in SaaS mode.
Finally, what advice would you give about picking the right host provider for our readers?
Valentin: Now the offer is very varied, unlike 10 years ago, which makes choosing a provider more and more difficult. If I were in their place, I would look for a provider with experience in the area of services they offer, which has fair prices. If they choose the lowest price, there is a major risk that the quality of services will not be the desired one and the risk of having downtime is high.
