Hostgeek is a scam business that has made false withdrawls against my ban account totalling over $15,000. Adam in accounts admintted the error and said he would fix it that weekend. That was over 2 months ago now. A bit opf research uncovered anbother 5customers with similar stories. I was in hospital at the time and the only reason they stopped is becasue they emptied my bank account. My emails dont get answered, no one picks up the phone, they don't care. It's fraud and comeone should go to jail for this. Beware of this company and do not engage their services.
DONT GO ANYWHERE NEAR HOST GEEK. They have fraudulently cost me $1100.00 by taking money for services until 2035. I have tried to contact them multiple times but have only got to talk to them once to explain the issue. The person I spoke to, Mark R, promised me that he would look into it and get my money back. Of course this has not happened. I am still pursuing them and will be handing it over to the NSW Fraud Squad. DONT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THEM.
Started off really good when they were Australia based. Servers went overseas (Singapore, I think) and everything went to pot. Got charged for things even after I threw in the towel with them. Whosever runs the joint now has stuffed it all up. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
CHARGED MY CARD 6 TIMES FOR A SINGLE SERVICE. PROMISED A REFUND IN TWO WEEKS, 6 WEEKS LATER..... STILL NOTHING. THIS SHARK OWES ME OVER $700. STAY AWAY , NOW WONT RETURN CALLS OR EMAILS
I Have the same problem plus they will not give me my EPP number, so I cannot transfer my Domain. They have taken money from my bank a/c and paid themselves up until 2031! (and still sending me Invoices!!!) So far, I haven't found any organisation that will take action against them. (I have been with them for over 15yrs) They are unreachable, uncontactable, untouchable).... and THIEVES!
Unauthorised charges for months and months of subscription taken out of my credit card. I have tried to follow up many times but they have been absent. They have not replied to many email and support tickets for months. Stay away from this company.
Issue with annual subscription debits processed before being due has now been resolved. Three years of subscriptions have now been refunded back to our nominated credit card from Host Geek.
Me too has been ripped by them. I have asked them for refund several times. They never respond. I wanted to change my domain provider and asked them for EPP code. They gave me login details that did not have the EPP code. They never respond to my several emails chaser for the EPP code. And you are right about them drawing on their leisure!
Hi, The only way I got any money back was by raising a disputed transaction through my bank. Took a while but eventually got all extra debits taken back. Hope this helps.
Host Geek have been great as hosts for my website. I originally started out as a newbie and I can't tell you how many times they saved me from myself when I needed to restore back to a previous version of my site. I have now started using their Word Press Maintenane Service which is great. I no longer need to worry about WordPress updates and plugins breaking my site as they keep it all up to date for me.
I get to build my business and not worry about the technology side.
