I been with WHC now for 3 months and have the starter plan, The most basic WordPress plan they have. Have never been pressured the upgrade, unlike from what I read from other hosting sites.
I had opened 2 tickets and response was quick, ticket was left open long enough for me test and confirm that everything is working fine. Help was was quick each time and the support people are very friendly and helpful.
This is a managed WordPress host. That means PHP, WordPress etc is updated automatically. And WordPress was installed already. I installed all kinds of plugins without limitations so far. I installed a SSL plugin as the base plan does not come with SSL. Now my site uses https. Have plans to host other sites with them.
je suis restée chez eux 10 ans, car je ne voyais pas mais maintenant je sais que l'un de mes sites n'était pas visible sur le net, que des images , des textes ont été traduit en anglais alors qu'ils étaient en français, que WHC.CA travaille avec OVH qui entrave la dénonciation de crime en france, je le vois, cela fait +15 jours que j'essaie de changer d'hebergeur et whc me donne de faux code de transfert EPP pour m'entraver c'est honteux, pendant des années j'ai supporté un service minable ou jamais on ne me répondais à mes question et là ras le bol , je dénonce les viols de masse des enfants français et les crimes d'excision et de circoncision qui sont fait en france contre le droit français.
Fantastic at first then broke my site twice with their PHP upgrade
I have been a long time customer of WHC and for the second time last year, they broke my web site, where I ran a PHP app I am using to inventoried various electronic components I own. First time they broke it, they managed to fix it. Since there is no business dependence, I didn't make much of it. But last year, August 2020, they made another PHP upgrade for the cPanel, PHP 7 I believe it was, and they wrecked my site again. Only this time, they could not fix it!
I spent many days, talked to many support reps but they could not fix it. They ended up suggesting that I had changed something in the code, and that I needed to reinstall or upgrade my app. I don't code in PHP, I simply installed, configured and ran the app on my site. It had been there for 5 to 6 years. The app is open source and there were no upgrade at the time. Never bothered them again and will completely end my business relation with them this year now that the 3 years pre-paid subscription comes to an end. Last year I took my domain registration elsewhere also.
If it were an e-cart written in PHP such as Zen-Cart or OSCommerce, I would have lost a lot of business.
They have no idea what they are doing. I migrated my site to upgrade from a shared server to a cloud server. They uploaded an old back up from a month ago and don't reply. I literally have 50 orders to ship tomorrow and my site is gone. And they don't reply!!!!!! Stay away from these jokers.

I’m very satisfied whit the service 2 times I need It help for miner change on my website and they help me out right the way with no charge very friendly support

WHC opened ticket to refund my payment at same day of payment, as I paid by mistake. My hosting company should pay, not the web site owner, to protect website. We found this after I paid for 1 year subscription. So, rep on the chat fairly opened ticket for refund my payment, which I never got back. I cancelled service in several days to make sure of getting refund, but now this is a reason to breake policy...Will dispute with credit card. Now, happened that paid twice for same service, but website is not protected and infected with virus. DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS COMPANY!!!!
There are way better hosters on the market. No option to use your own SSL - they closed this in Cpanel so you would have to buy it from them. Unfortunately I am stuck with them as no refunds beyond 30 days of purchase. Beware!
Hi Danila and thanks for your feedback. Do note however that all our plans, with the exception of our Starter plan, include free and automatic SSL. This has been the case since 2018, when we introduced AutoSSL. Hope that helps!
I have transferred two accounts to WHC based on published web host ratings (top 10!), and also because I wanted to support a Canadian company. Well, I will not be recommending WHC to any other client. I have had nothing but issues and estimate that I have lost two days of work trying to solve problem after problem with this hosting provider. Support is spotty as well. It takes sometimes days to get resolutions to problems. I've had problems with everything from billing and new website setup to email and forwarders. I have dealt with several hosting providers in the past, and this is the worst I've come across. I'm going back to Siteground, European, more expensive, but with excellent service and support.
I wanted to add the latest to my review. I gave up and closed my account (opened three months ago) fully expecting a refund for part of the 3 years of hosting service I have signed up for. But apparently, that goes against WHC's "no refund after 30 days" policy. Anyone who wants to give WHC a try would do well to stick to a short term subscription. I did have problems in the first 30 days that I forgave, but when problems added up on my, and a client's account, costing me over four days of work, I felt more than justified terminating my services.
