I had many hosts over 15 yrs and still class myself as an advance beginner. Without hesitation this is the best host I have ever had. Support provided is second to none.
I think I chose Hostmate because the prices were cheap.
But I cannot believe how good the service is. I'm largely an idiot but, without fail, every support ticket I submit gets simply answered quickly. Weekends, after hours, sometimes within minutes, the response is there and the problem is solved. That's just amazing.

When transferring one of my domains into Hostname, I encountered an issue not being able to update any DNS records for that domain. There was a curly issue that needed to go all the way to auDA support via the registrar. The Hostmate support team owned the issue throughout and, despite having to pay for domain registration a second time in a calendar year (thanks auDA!!), the issue was resolved. Thanks Glen and team for your friendly and attentive support. I knew there was a reason I switched to you for my .au domains.
Wow! In less than 24 hours Hostmate had transferred my Wordpress site, 3 databases & domain from my old host, everything was exceedingly smooth and all works off the bat! Excellent communication & friendly assistance too. Furthermore the website responsiveness is excellent, at least as good as my old host which was almost 6 times the annual cost! Couldn't recommend them higher for my modest hobby site!
Best hosting service with fastest support service.
I have 4 sites hosted in Hostmate. I never had any issue from the day I signed with them to date. Best of all if there is any issue it help required, their support team is straight on to it and would get back to instantly and my special thanks to Glen for always helping me when needed. I am super duper impressed and highly recommend them.
I have been with Hostmate since July 21. I was horrified to learn that my previous hosting company not only charged me 3x what Hostmates costs but also charges for add ons which are included free with Hostmate. Additionally, Glen and his Australian support staff have been exceptionally efficient on the few times I've requested some work to be done on my WordPress site.
