Why GTmetrix? GTmetrix runs tests from real geographic locations using an actual Chrome browser, so the numbers reflect what an actual visitor experiences rather than a synthetic lab average. It also measures Google’s Core Web Vitals (LCP, TBT, CLS) directly, the same metrics Google uses when it evaluates page experience for search rankings. For a hosting review, it gives a repeatable, comparable benchmark rather than a marketing claim.

The 14-point gap in Performance score between the two locations is the headline finding here. From Madrid, the site loads fast enough that it would satisfy most visitors without a second thought. From San Antonio, it is still a passable result, but the distance from the server clearly shows up in the numbers.
One result worth flagging directly: Total Blocking Time is actually lower from San Antonio (39ms) than from Madrid (87ms), despite every other metric being worse.
Both figures sit well under the 200ms threshold that signals a real problem, so this is not something a visitor would notice, but it is the kind of inconsistency worth pointing out rather than smoothing over.

The connect time tells the real story here. It jumps from 46ms in Madrid to 373ms in San Antonio, an eightfold increase that has nothing to do with server load and everything to do with physical distance.
That gap cascades through every downstream metric: TTFB nearly triples, from 300ms to 832ms, and the fully loaded time goes from 1.7s to 2.8s.

That advantage narrows considerably for visitors further away. The San Antonio test still passes Google’s Core Web Vitals thresholds, but the eightfold jump in connect time shows this is single-region hosting without CDN acceleration, so distance from Spain has a real, measurable cost.
If your traffic is primarily European, this plan performs at or above what I would expect for the price. If you are targeting a global or North American audience, factor the added latency into your expectations before assuming the Madrid numbers apply to your visitors too.
I went through the Loading signup the way a new customer actually would: starting at the homepage, picking a plan, working through the domain step and checkout, and then spending time inside the Plesk panel that manages the account once it is live.
Here is what that process looks like, and where it gave me pause.

Worth flagging on that table: the entry-level Starter plan is the only tier that does not include free domain ownership, which is easy to miss if you are comparing plans by storage and price alone.

That fourth option is an actually practical way to try the hosting before committing to a domain at all. Free domain registration only applies to a specific set of extensions (.com, .es, .org, .info, .eu, .net, .com.es, .nom.es, .org.es, .biz, .us, .name), so if you are set on a less common TLD, expect to pay for it separately even on plans that advertise a free domain.

Skipping all three add-ons, the order summary showed the Expert plan at 116.51€ for the first annual term, discounted from 323.87€.
That is worth sitting with for a moment. The discount is over 60%, and the renewal price is nearly three times the first-year rate. Budget for 323.87€ in year two, not 116.51€, if you are planning to stay long term.
The upsell. Clicking Add to Cart triggered a pop-up recommending a paid SSL certificate, PerfectSSL DV, discounted from 14.99€ to 4.99€ for the first year.
This is worth calling out directly. Loading’s hosting plans already include a free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate as a standard feature. The upsell is not dishonest; a premium DV certificate is a different product with extended validation, but it is positioned right at the moment you are least likely to stop and check whether you already have SSL covered. I declined it and continued.
The cart. The review and pay screen broke down cleanly: Expert Hosting at 116.51€ annually, the domain listed separately, a promo code field, and a tax calculator tab. VAT at 21% added 24.47€, for a total of 140.98€ due today, with the renewal price flagged again directly beneath it.
Checkout. The final form covers personal details, billing address (including a DNI/NIF/CIF field, so this is built with Spanish tax residents in mind), account password creation, and payment.

The right-hand panel adds a further layer of shortcuts: database management, scheduled tasks, outgoing mail control, a PrestaShop installer, direct SSH access, PHP settings, mod_pagespeed, mod_security, PHP Info, a PHP restart button, SpamExperts email security, and a record of account actions. That is a lot of server-level control surfaced without a support ticket, which fits with how self-service the rest of the signup flow already felt.
One thing did stand out for the wrong reason. The SSL/TLS Certificates entry in my test account is flagged with an “Unprotected webmail” warning. This is the kind of gap worth flagging clearly: a plan advertises SSL as standard, but the panel shows it is not fully applied on setup.

An in-browser SSH terminal, Git, Composer, and explicit Laravel support are tools a lot of shared hosts do not offer at any tier. The unprotected webmail warning is the one item I would want fixed by default rather than left for the customer to find.
Getting from the Loading homepage to a fully provisioned hosting account takes a few more clicks than the fastest hosts I have tested, mostly because of the domain routing screen, the configurable add-ons, and the SSL upsell, but nothing about the process is confusing.

Knowing how a host performs during signup and daily management only tells half the story. The callback option is worth a specific mention since it’s easy to assume it works like general phone support. It doesn’t. Loading is explicit that this service is only available during business hours and solely for business inquiries, so it’s not a channel to rely on for an urgent technical issue outside office hours.

One thing worth flagging here: the Knowledge Base Suggestions panel returned five articles as I typed, none of which had anything to do with the question. It suggested pieces on managing multiple domains, what shared hosting is, using a domain without hosting, managing MS SQL Server databases, and common configuration mistakes.
That MS SQL Server article is a good sign the knowledge base has real technical depth elsewhere on the platform, but the auto-suggestion matching clearly isn’t smart enough to connect a Laravel-specific question to anything relevant.
I submitted the ticket at 11:44 AM. It was immediately confirmed with ticket #1043273, and a confirmation email arrived right away, showing the subject, priority, and status as Open, along with a direct link to track the ticket.
A reply landed at 12:51 PM, a 67-minute turnaround on a High-priority ticket submitted during business hours. That’s a reasonable response time, though slower than the fastest I’ve seen on other hosts.
The reply came from Miguel Ángel Padilla, tagged as an Operator and Employee in the portal, and read in full:
“What you’re asking for on a shared server wouldn’t be possible. You would need to rent a VPS or a dedicated server.”
That answer confirms the limitation, but it skips the part of the question that actually mattered most: what to do instead. There’s a well-established workaround for exactly this situation, running queue:work –stop-when-empty on a tight cron schedule to approximate persistent queue processing without a long-running worker, and I’d expect a technical support queue to at least mention it, or ask a clarifying question about what the queue jobs actually do before pointing straight to an upsell.
Instead, the reply read like a fast, templated deflection toward a VPS or dedicated server rather than a considered technical answer. The signature also carried two promotional links, for Microsoft 365 and a cookie management tool, appended to what was meant to be a technical reply, which reinforced that impersonal, templated feel.
The ticket status updated to Answered, and I was given a five-star rating widget with no further follow-up prompted.
The ticket system itself is well built: a rich text editor, generous attachment limits, live knowledge base suggestions, and priority levels all live on one clean page, and a 67-minute reply to a High-priority technical ticket during business hours is a fair turnaround.
Where it falls short is depth. The response confirmed what wasn’t possible but skipped the practical workaround a Laravel developer would actually want, and it read as fast rather than thorough. For general billing or account questions, this system should serve you well.
For specific technical edge cases, go in expecting to need a follow-up question rather than a complete answer on the first reply.
A note on support test: After this review was drafted, Loading’s team explained that the ticket was submitted from an email address not yet registered to a customer account, and that this can limit how fully their support team is able to engage with a request for security reasons. So, if you’re testing support yourself, submitting requests from the email address tied to your account is worth doing from the start to get the fullest response.
Based on what I have tested so far, Loading earns a preliminary yes, with the final verdict to be confirmed once support testing is complete. The Plesk-based hosting gives you a real, capable toolkit for the price: an in-browser SSH terminal, Git, Composer, and dedicated Laravel support are not things most budget shared hosts offer, and performance for Spanish and European traffic backs up what the plan pages promise.
This is a stronger fit for developers, agencies, and Spanish or EU-based businesses than for someone who just wants the simplest possible path to a live WordPress site.
